Women roles in the middle age
The expected roles of the women in Europe in the middle age are wife, mother, peasant, artisan and nun. In renaissance time women were considered property of husbands. women suppose to be housewife. low class women it suppose to be housewives and take care everything to do in the house after take of her work. high class women have servant who take care of everything in the house but she still need t take care that everything worked according the master want. In the 19 century husband need to take care of the wife debts. however in 1870 married woman property belong to her. they also allowed single woman to have her own property and money to herself.
Women it not suppose to painting male nude or go to a bar. There were some women that learned how to painting through their fathers workshops other women have the money and noble class that give the privilege to learn and practice women in that time usually doing portrait of individuals, religious themes and still life paintings.
